Infertility Second Opinion & Consultation at Mooney MD Center for Reproductive Care is designed for individuals and couples who want clarity, confirmation, or a fresh perspective on their fertility journey. We carefully review your full history-not just a summary note. That includes prior lab work, imaging (such as HSG and ultrasounds), semen analyses, previous IUI or IVF cycles, surgeries, and miscarriage evaluations.

During this visit, you meet directly with Stephen Mooney, MD, a fellowship-trained reproductive endocrinologist with nearly three decades of experience. We walk through your story step by step: how long you have been trying, what has already been done, what went as expected, and where things felt confusing or discouraging. Our goal is to explain, in plain language, how your diagnosis was reached and whether the data truly support it.

We then outline all reasonable options based on your specific findings and priorities. That may include further targeted testing, adjustments in ovulation induction or IUI plans, changes to IVF stimulation strategies, sperm or embryo-focused approaches, minimally-invasive surgery, or a shift in timing. For patients already working with another fertility clinic, we can coordinate as a consultative partner, offering input while you continue care there.

For many, this consultation brings relief: unanswered questions are addressed, unrealistic expectations are corrected, and new paths often emerge. Telemedicine appointments are available for patients in our licensed states, with in-person follow-up for procedures and ultrasound monitoring when needed.

By the end of your second-opinion visit, you leave with a clear written plan, an understanding of the pros and cons of each option, and the reassurance that an experienced reproductive endocrinologist has reviewed every detail with care.
